31 Jan Why “Trying Harder” Isn’t the Answer
By the end of January, a lot of New Year’s resolutions have already faded into the background.
And honestly? That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you.
Most resolutions fail because they’re built on a burst of motivation instead of something you can actually repeat in real life.
It doesn’t mean you failed or that you “don’t follow through.”
It just means the habit needs to be smaller. Easier. More doable.
Please don’t start getting stricter with yourself or piling on guilt.
That never leads to lasting change.
Your brain might say, “But if I make it easier, it won’t work.”
However, what you were doing wasn’t working either.
Small, simple, sometimes almost boring actions, done consistently, compound over time into real, sustainable change.
If January taught you anything, let it be this:
You don’t need a fresh year.
You need a habit that fits your life.
If you’re looking for a small step that actually makes habits easier, adding a little more protein is a favorite.
It helps with cravings and energy, which makes consistency feel less like a fight.
Here is a link to a free protein guide to help you start simply, no perfection required.
Download now and choose one small protein upgrade you can realistically hit 80% of the time.
You don’t need to do more.
Just do what you can repeat.
You’ve got this!
Yours in wellness,
