WHO AM I?

I’m Elizabeth Girouard, Certified Holistic Health Coach and Educator, and I have helped many clients to uncover hidden food sensitivities, allergies and intolerances so they can live the vibrant life they deserve!  Many people believe that chronic symptoms are just part of the aging process, but I disagree:

I practice what I preach!

I love spending time in the kitchen creating new healthy recipes, teaching others and developing strategies to make healthy eating easier and more manageable for all. I love researching and sampling the latest dietary theories, learning about the latest brain/gut connection and reading anything I can find about health and wellness. I then synthesize this information to make it ‘digestible’ for my clients, so they can benefit from my experience. Nothing makes me happier than hearing from a client: “I tried your recipe last night for dinner and my whole family loved it!” or “Thanks for transforming my life, Elizabeth!”

I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT HELPING OTHERS

After suffering from illness and seeing one medical specialist after another, trying many different drugs to alleviate my symptoms, I was frustrated. I started investigating the holistic way of healing and became much more aware of how our environment and the food we eat can make a significant impact in how we feel each day. I became a researcher, label reader and really focused on what types of products and food worked best for me and my family.  I created a new path to wellness by changing my diet and lifestyle.  I began eating pure, simple, whole foods found in nature and incorporating alternative treatments to Western medicine into my daily life, and my allergies, skin rashes and hives subsided, bloating and intermittent stomach pains decreased, my mood swings, cravings and midday energy slumps diminished and my overall energy level increased.

I looked at the chemicals we were using in the house and replaced our chemically based household cleaning supplies and body care products with natural products.  I also looked at the other areas of my life that I could be improved to help in my healing process, such as exercise, stress reduction and spiritual connection. I cannot believe the difference in how I feel now, even though I still have many of the same illnesses I was diagnosed with years ago. I am a firm believer that your diet and lifestyle choices can help you to feel great every day!

 

I SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY

I spread my knowledge to my clients and the greater community. I support the local community through community outreach and charitable donations. I conduct workshops and programs at non-profit organizations and donate to charities and fundraisers that support people in need, both locally and nationally. My mission is to spread wellness to all and I have built a supportive community focused on healthy food and lifestyle choices.

POSITIVE RESULTS

This change has been beneficial for my family as well.  My son was experiencing excruciating stomach pains, bad skin rashes and extremely chapped skin, keratosis pilaris (chicken skin), lethargy and sleep issues.  By changing his diet, his stomach pains and skin rashes were alleviated in a matter of weeks.  He started his transformation in February 2013 and he is now a totally different child.  No more stomach pains, his skin is clear, he has much more energy and his sleep has improved too.  It’s amazing how changing your diet can make a drastic improvement in your life!!

MY TRAINING AND HOLISTIC APPROACH

I received my training as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge program where I gained extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. This training coupled with my Bachelor of Science degree from William and Mary and my international business experience at Andersen Consulting, JP Morgan and PeopleSoft/Oracle enables me to spread my knowledge to individual and corporate clients via seminars, lectures, group and individual programs, with the ultimate goal to help others feel great again!

Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.  These steps will help you to make lifestyle changes that will produce long term results.  This is not your next fad diet – this is a program for YOUR sustainable, long term health!
