Choco Cherry Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-2 cups of spinach or other leafy green
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1-2 cups of filtered water (more or less for desired consistency)
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of raw cacao powder
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • few drops of stevia or other healthy sweetener (optional).

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add all ingredients into high speed blender, putting softer items on the bottom
  2. Start blender on low and slowly move up to high, using tamper as needed to include ingredients into blending process.
  3. Blend for approximately 45-60 seconds or until smooth.

NOTES:

This recipe is great for breakfast, an afternoon snack or sweet treat.  You can also use this recipe with other berries or with bananas.
