Decadent Dark Chocolate Smoothie

YIELDS:

1-2 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-2 cups of baby spinach or baby kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 3 heaping tablespoons of raw cacao powder
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1.5-2 cups of nut milk (almond, coconut or your favorite)
  • ice, as needed
  • few drops of liquid stevia or 1 tsp of raw honey (optional).

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add all ingredients into high speed blender, putting softer items on the bottom.
  2. Start blender on low and slowly move up to high, using tamper as needed to include ingredients into blending process.
  3. Blend for approximately 60-90 seconds or until smooth.
  4. Add ice and stevia or raw honey if desired.

NOTES:

If the chocolate is too rich, add a ripe banana to cut the flavor and add more sweetness.
