Simple Refreshing Mango Sorbet

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 tbsn raw honey or pure maple syrup or 4 drops liquid stevia (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1)  Place water and mango in the high speed blender or food processor

2)  Blend until you have a sorbet type consistency.  Add more or less water, depending upon your preference.

3)  Divide into 2 bowls and enjoy!

NOTES:

You can use any frozen fruit in this recipe.  If you prefer to use fresh fruit, add 4-5 ice cubes and reduce the water to get the sorbet consistency.  The sweetener is generally not needed for high sugar fruits, like mango, pineapples, strawberries, etc.The sorbet is best eaten immediately after it’s prepared, rather than freezing it for later, as it gets very hard when frozen.
